The original version had cricketer Narendra Hirwani reciting a few lines in Sindhi dialect. The video is being seen as a deliberate attempt to belittle the community and remove its identity from the face of the nation. “Prior to this, there was a call to remove the mention of Sindh from our national anthem which was prevented after much agitation. This is the second assault on our community that we ought to question and seek a response from the makers of the video,” Harish Vasandhani, secretary of Sindhi Youth Mandal. But it is heartening to note that production house Kailash Picture Company has taken note of the grievance and assured to rectify the error at the earliest. “We are planning to re-shoot portions that should have been a part of the video. We are already also planning to include the lyrics along with a video representation,” said director of the video Kailash Surendranath said.
