The Pune police have taken into custody two persons, one of them a minor, on charges of kidnapping a five-year-old boy and killing him. Police said, the prime accused Parminder Savarna Singh (19), a hotel management student working part-time at a shopping mall, wanted money to buy a motorbike, which could be the motive behind the abduction.
"A resident of Defence Security Corps quarters in the Ramnagar area, Parminder kidnapped Shubh Raval on Sunday evening and later strangled him before dumping the body on the ARDE hill," said Senior Inspector Ajay Kadam of the Chatushringi police.
Parminder was accompanied by a minor youngster, who has also been taken into custody, Kadam added.
