A 13-year-old school girl was allegedly raped repeatedly by a 20-year-old youth in Hadapsar with threats to kill her mother and brother. The police said the accused Deepak alias Vishal Jaiswal is acquainted with the victim as she is his 15-year-old sister’s friend.
According to the police, Jaiswal raped the girl from September 23 to 25 at his house. “He continued the crime for the next few days after threatening to kill her mother and brother,” said senior police inspector Raghunath Jadhav, incharge of Hadapsar police station.
The victim lodged a complaint and the suspect was arrested. On Friday, a court remanded him in police custody till September 30. He has been charged for offences under relevant section (rape of minor) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
