Truck overturns on E-way, blocks traffic for 45 min

The vehicular movement on Pune-Mumbai Expressway was thrown out of gear for more than 45 minutes when an empty truck container overturned near Khandala exit in Pune corridor on kilometre 48 on Wednesday morning.

The truck bearing registration number MH-46 H-2384 was on its way to Mumbai when its driver lost control at the sharp turn. The vehicle fell into the Pune corridor blocking the first two lanes on the extreme right side of the road.

“The driver ran away leaving the empty container. No one was injured in the incident,” PSI Santosh Vairagade, highway traffic, Khandala said.
