Techie commits suicide in Pune

A software engineer Ashitosh Rajendraprasad Sharma (29) committed suicide by hanging himself by attaching a rope to the ceiling hook at his flat at Rupali Apartment, near Hindustan Bakery, Balewadi.

Chatuhshrungi police did not find any suicide note from victim’s possession. The police suspect that Sharma might have taken the extreme step two days ago as the incident came to light on Monday afternoon when foul smell came from his flat.

According to the police, Sharma was working with a software firm at Hinjewadi for the past couple of months. He was staying alone at the rented flat.

On Monday, one of his neighbours could not park his vehicle in the parking area as it was occupied by Sharma’s bike. He found the front door of Sharma’s flat slightly open and foul smell coming from the house. He informed the building’s owner and a team from Chatuhshrungi police found the body. Sharma hailed from Madhya Pradesh.
