During his visit to the city on Monday, Pawar did not meet the leaders of student organisations but parents of some students. Last week, the SP management had put the blame of the controversial 97 admissions to the SP College on principal Dilip Sheth. The validity of these admissions was under question as they were reportedly not done according to Central Admission Process (CAP).

Sheth was forced to resign from the post. The management told the education director's office that they did not want any additional admissions.
