In order to curb the traffic menace witnessed on the Pune-Ahmednagar bypass which connects Hadapsar with Mundhwa and Kharadi, deputy commissioner of police (traffic) Vishwas Pandhare said that the traffic department has decided to block some of the punctures created in the dividers on the road.
The department seeks feedback from citizens on the issue till October 15.
With Magarpatta City and Amanora Park Town located on the road, the traffic congestion is immense during the peak hours. Besides, a large number of heavy vehicles ply on the road.
“Within the distance of 2.3 km, there are around 13 open punctures. This is one of the reasons why the traffic flow gets choked up in the area. The total breadth of the road on one side is only 10 metre. Hence we are planning to use the unused roads to widen it,” said Pandhare.
