Security guard's kin say supervisor abetted suicide

The family members of a 23-year-old security guard Govind Nathu Chavan, who had reportedly committed suicide on August 26 at his village, have lodged a complaint against his supervisor for abetting suicide. The complaint was lodged by Govind’s father Nathu Chavan with the Hinjewadi police.

The family members have alleged that the supervisor had been torturing Govind at work which is why he took the extreme step. Police have booked the supervisor, identified as MR Ghule of Baner.

Govind used to work as a security guard for Hawk Eye security agency based at Baner and Ghule was his supervisor. Ghule allegedly used to harass Govind over his functioning.  Hinjewadi PI PD Patil said, “Initially the victim’s family was settling the matter mutually. However, now they have lodged a complaint against Ghule.”
