Besides having designated jogging tracks at its 70+ gardens, health conscious Puneites also prefer many other favorite areas for the ‘jogging experience’.

Starting from yesterday, dna Pune has started a contest to judge which is the best jogging track in Pune.

From the vast expanse of Racecourse, to the lush green surroundings of Taljai Hills, the lesser crowded Poonawala garden, dna readers have responded with multiple nominations.

For the next few days, dna will be visiting Puneites favourite jogging tracks and bring to you what we saw. Vote for your favourite jogging track to make it earn the title of ‘Pune’s best jogging experience’.

University of Pune

On the second day, we bring to  you what the joggers at University of Pune (UoP) grounds experience:

‘There is something in the air’ is what joggers at the UoP campus told Team dna, when asked what were their reasons for choosing the spot as their preferred jogging area.

Asked about the facilities for joggers like drinking water taps for instance, joggers said that the campus don’t have such facilities and yet their jogging experience here is ‘special’ owing to the varsity’s lush green campus.

Their only complaints are about the morning traffic passing through the campus that often irks the joggers and the constant honking disturbs the serenity. The joggers also wished that a few benches along the way would help them, especially the seniors, to take a short respite if the need be.
