PCMC starts online water billing system in ward-B
The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has introduced the online system to pay water bills at ward-B. The civic body proposes to start the online system in the other three wards too.

PCMC executive engineer Pravin Ladkat said on Friday, “Initially, the PCMC had started the online system at ward-B. There were 17,000 water meters in ward-B. The PCMC has hired a private agency for operating the online system.”
The civic officials cite thin staff for appointing the agency that has hired women and trained them in handling computers and Tablet PCs. The women visit houses and take pictures of water meters, note readings and give details to PCMC. There are nearly 1.5 lakh water meters installed in the twin town.
