After repeated complaints from people visiting the Pune Regional Transport Office (RTO), officials have decided to cancel the tender of the pay-and-park on its premises.
As per the tender given by Pune RTO, the rate for two-wheeler is Rs3 and for four-wheelers is Rs10. However, people end up paying Rs5 for two-wheelers and Rs15 for four-wheelers.
Regional transport officer, Arun Yeola said, “We have got many complaints from the public who visit the RTO about the extra rate that they have to pay for the parking. Hence, we decided to cancel the tender of the parking and flow a fresh tender by next week.”
