Pune: Reiterating its demand to offer voting opportunity for those whose names have been omitted from the electoral rolls, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has started its own permanent helpline for registration of names in the voters’ list.

MNS city unit president Prakash Dhore told the media, that people are welcome with their grievances at the party’s city office at 204, Jape Sadan, opposite Z Bridge Narayan Peth, Kelkar Road. He said that people also call on the helpline number 020-24487651, which will be open all-year-long. Dhore further stated that people can reach out to them via party candidate Deepak Paygude’s Facebook page or e-mail him directly.MNS has demanded strict action against those responsible for deletion of names of over a hundred Punekars from the voters’ list. Dhore said that if the ruling alliance had misused government machinery and has engineered defects in the voters’ list. Expressing the need for more transparent procedures during elections, Dhore said that since assembly elections will follow the Lok Sabha elections in the city, the MNS helpline will remain operational for the entire year
