Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) director Anand Mohan has advised Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to make changes in its computerised system for speedy resolution of citizens’ complaints. He said that timely resolution of their complaints was very necessary.

Mohan and three JNNURM officials on Saturday visited the PCMC head office to review its development works carried under JNNURM. Municipal commissioner Shrikar Pardeshi welcomed the officials.

Mohan expressed satisfaction over the works carried out under e-governance and computerised system by the civic body to address the grievances of citizens.

He suggested that the civic body needs to update the systems keeping in accordance with the changing times. He said that it was very necessary to redress citizens’ grievances speedily and the computerised system must be developed to serve the purpose.

Pardeshi told JNNURM officials that the civic body undertook weekly review meetings to address citizens’ grievances. He also said that various departments have been asked to prepare an action plan for quick redressal of citizens’ complaints.JNNURM officials also reviewed PCMC’s online services set up for citizens.
