The Indian Maritime Foundation's (IMF) Maritime Museum and Library at Deccan College is offering its first fellowship to Cdr (Dr) Arnab Das, a senior faculty member at Military Institute of Technology (MILIT), Pune. The fellowship will help Das conduct a research on marine eco-concerns and the Indian maritime strategy.

Commodore Rajan Vir, president, IMF talking to iamin said that the fellowship includes a grant of Rs 1 lakh, that would be given to Das in six instalments. The fellowship has been started by the Marine Research Centre to encourage people to conduct research in the field of marine studies. This fellowship by the IMF is only for Indian nationals, hailing from different walks of life, to further their knowledge about marine studies.
