Pune: Aam Aadmi Party Pune on Wednesday demanded a CBI inquiry into the alleged irrigation scam and said that the CBI should inquire in to the irrigation expenditure and alleged irregularities of all the projects since 1995.
AAP Pune, staged demonstrations at Council Hall, protesting against alleged scams in the irrigation department and the Chitale committee report along with the action taken report tabled by the Democratic Front Government in the state.
Bhapkar said that deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar had tendered his resignation after the irrigation scam came out to the fore and after his controversial statement of peeing in to the dam.
Bhapkar pointed out that Pawar was reinstated in to the Cabinet as if nothing had happened. AAP has demanded for CBI inquiry in to the irrigation scams and has demanded that all the irregularities since 1995 should be probed in to.
