Former cricketer Salil Ankola’s wife Pariniti Ankola allegedlly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan on Sunday afternoon. She was 46. The incident, which took place at her parents’ house in Salisbury Park, came to light when her parents came home after attending a wedding in Ahmednagar.

Police recovered a suicide note from the bedroom where Pariniti hanged herself. In the suicide note, she has stated that nobody should be held responsible for her death.

According to the Swargate police, Salil Ankola and his wife were separated for some time and Pariniti had been living with her parents. “In the evening when her parents came home, they were shocked to see their daughter hanging in the bedroom. They later called the Swargate police,” said police inspector, Dipak Nikam of the Swargate police station.

Nikam informed that the police recovered the suicide note from the spot in which Pariniti has stated not to hold anybody responsible for her extreme step. “We have sent the body to Sassoon Hospital for autopsy and contacted Ankola,” he said.
