With elements of glitz and style, event mgmt is carving its niche at a fast pace in the corporate horizon, say experts in Pune
The event management sector is new at the Indian corporate horizon and is carving its niche at a fast pace. There is a growing realisation about the need to develop event management professionals, who are able to create, organise and manage events.
Event management involves expertise in professional planning, designing, budgeting and implementation, where success needs appropriate training with adequate education to help one make the right connections.
Director of Indira School of Event Management (ISEM), Divya Jaitly ascertained that event professionals are in great demand due to the increasing need in retail and marketing sector and because of the element of glamour, glitz, flamboyance and style associated with social and corporate events.
“We have to help aspirants to attain the managerial efficiency in the event world, inculcating initiative and enthusiasm so that aspirants pave their way to perfection. The formula to success lies in the confluence of knowledge and experience so as to actualise in this competitive event industry,” said Jaitly. She informed that ISEM initiative is to provide formalised training to the budding event managers, so that they can turn ordinary occasions of life into cherished memories.
Jaitly, who is an event manager with 10 years of rich experience and illustrious track record in the world of event management, says that it is the right time for today’s youth to enter the event industry. Being a Miss India finalist and a successful TV anchor for leading channels, she brings a new dimension and value to this sphere.
