PUNE
After completing more than 50% work of the Urban Street Guideline (USG) project, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has now uploaded a survey form on its website for the citizens’ suggestions on the project.
The USG project aims at redesigning the roads and
pathways of the city for the smooth flow of traffic and pedestrian-friendly pathways.
“The way city is growing, the traffic is also increasing by the day. Therefore we need wider roads, even and continuous footpaths and more space for parking. After the initial feedback from different government offices, we are now looking for a feedback and suggestions from the citizens,” PMC’s additional city engineer Pramod Nirbhavane.
So far PMC has received some 100 odd feedbacks. It wants more public participation in the project. Citizens can to our website and fill online survey forms for the urban street design guideline, Nirbhavane said. Citizens can get the online forms on http:// www.punecorporation.org/ pmcwebn/index.aspx
