Congress corporator Ganesh Londhe (26) in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) submitted his resignation to the party leader in PCMC on Thursday.
On Tuesday, Londhe was arrested for assaulting policemen who had gone to his house following a complaint of quarrel. He was later released on bail. In his resignation letter, he admitted to having committed a mistake in assaulting cops. Congress city unit chief Bhausaheb Bhoir said, “We have got his resignation and we will take a decision within eight days. We will also carry out an inquiry.
