The CNG supply for Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) is likely to regularise as the PMPML board of directors gave a green signal to set up CNG pumps at all its bus depots.
The board also approved the proposal of cleaning the PMPML buses on BOT basis. However, the important decision of adding 500 more buses to PMPML’s fleet was deferred till the next meeting. Prashant Jagtap, PMC corporator and one of the directors, said, “The decision to purchase 500 buses has been deferred till the next meeting. Apart from that, 500 buses were to be hired from a private contractor but in the quotation the contractor has charged Rs45 per km, which is too high. Therefore, the decision also has been deferred.”
