Change of guard at Pune Merchant's Chamber likely

A change of guard is likely at the Pune Merchant’s Chamber with the Matparivartan panel led by Walchand Sancheti and Popatlal Ostwal winning 8 out of 15 seats for the executive of the chamber. Baba Pokarna panel led by Rajesh Shaha and Chamber president Ajit Setiya won 7 seats.

The election was held on Saturday and 474 members out of 487 voted. Five votes were invalid. Elected members are Ajit Setiya, Rajendra Banthiya, Praveen Chorbele, Walchand Sancheti, Rajesh Shaha, Jawaharlal Bothara, Rajendra Gugale, Popatlal Ostwal, Ashok Lodha, Rajesh Fulpagar, Deepak Bora, Dilipkumar Raisoni, Nitin Nahar, Devendra Agarwal and Raikumar Nahar.

The results were announced at the annual general meeting at Vyapar Bhavan at Gultekdi Market Yard.
