Despite approximately 59 %  voter turnout in Pune, the city witnessed utter chaos on voting day as many disgruntled citizens claim that their names are missing from the voter's list. Several people also claimed that their wards were changed and had to run pillar to post to locate their polling center. People resorted to a Rasta Roko for sometime, demanding an immediate solution.

Anil Shirole, BJP candidate from Pune announced that he would go on an indefinite fast unless something is done about the missing names in the voter list. RTI Activist Vinita Deshmukh said, "I too will go on a fast, people have the right to vote."

Subhash Ware , AAP candidate from Pune also said that people have the right to vote and it cannot be taken away. 

Earlier today, Around 200 people from cantonment ward occupied the BJ medical grounds demanding and answer from the ward officers and booth officials. Several women who went to vote at the MIT Junior college also found their names missing, they claimed to have voted every election till now. Sandhya Gokhale Palekar said, "Amol and I have been voting from Erandwane for years, and now our names go missing? I know atleast 50 people like us who have no choice but to not vote,"

Collector Rao announced that he has spoken to state election commissioner and he has talked to CEO."I will take observers recommendation and opinion and send it to state election committee and it will be sent to CEO."
