An altercation between members of Kabir Kala Manch (KKM) and volunteers of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) led to four people getting injured.

Among the injured are two students of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) and two ABVP members.

On Wednesday, FTII students’ association had organised a programme of Kabir Kala Manch followed by a screening of Anant Patwardhan’s documentary Jai Bhim Comrade at National Film Archive of India (NFAI).

The event got over by 8 pm and, after 20 minutes, the members of KKM alleged that while they were waiting outside NFAI, a group of ABVP members came and started calling them Naxalites. When FTII students intervened, it led to an argument and fight with both parties getting injured.

ABVP volunteers lodged a complaint at Prabhat Road chowky followed by a cross-complaint by the students.DCP Makarand Ranade said that the situation was under control.
