Expands Regional Presence with Opening of Singapore Office

SINGAPORE, Sept. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- To support its burgeoning success in Asia Pacific, Orion Health, New Zealand's largest privately owned software exporter and a global leader in eHealth technology, today announced the official opening of its new Singapore office. This new facility provides a new home for the company's Singapore-based services, development and technical support teams.

Orion Health's expansion into Singapore follows its acquisition of Microsoft's HIS solution earlier this year, as well as becoming an integral part of the consortium awarded the contract to implement the National Electronic Health Record (NEHR) by the Singapore Ministry of Health in June 2010.

The addition of Orion Health HIS to its portfolio has provided the company with access to the international private hospital market, including Bumrungrad International Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. Bumrungrad has realised significant reductions in patient waiting times, laboratory and radiology processing times, as well as a reduction in the time it takes to retrieve a patient's medical record following its implementation of Orion Health HIS.
