M∙A∙C Cosmetics Spring/Summer 2013 London Fashion Week Backstage, Instore, Online... The Cult Makeup Brand is Everywhere This Season

Each year, M∙A∙C Cosmetics participates in 23 Fashion Weeks and approximately 850 shows around the world: New York, London, Milan, Paris, Sydney, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Cape Town, Berlin, Delhi, Istanbul, Barcelona, Rio, Miami Swimwear, NY Bridal, Auckland, Toronto, Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Paris Couture, Milan Menswear, London Menswear and Paris Menswear. Beginning September 14th, M·A·C's international team of more than 60 makeup artists will open their kits and unleash their creativity, hitting over 40 shows at Somerset House and other venues throughout the city, setting the makeup trends, and creating the inspirations and techniques that will define the S/S 13 season.
M·A·C will be backstage at shows including: Holly Fulton, House of Holland, Moschino Cheap & Chic, Nicole Farhi, Roksanda Ilincic, Vivienne Westwood Red Label, Mary Katrantzou, Jonathan Saunders, Philip Treacy, Erdem, Marios Schwab, Peter Pilotto, sass & bide, Giles and many others.
Influential makeup artists that continue to work alongside the M·A·C teams include Diane Kendal, Petros Petrohilos, Sam Bryant, Topolino and Val Garland. This season, M·A·C Director of Makeup Artistry, Terry Barber, will be creating the looks as key makeup artist at Jean-Pierre Braganza, J.JS Lee, Edeline Lee and Dion Lee.
M·A·C LONDON FASHION WEEK MEDIA LOUNGE
As the Official Makeup Brand of London Fashion Week, M·A·C will once again be opening the doors of its LFW Media Lounge - in the East Wing at Somerset House. Media, designers, models and industry professionals will have access to the space where guests can drop by and get instant show updates, blasts from backstage, insider artist info and immediate access to our blogger bar.
M∙A∙C will again be offering a unique, on-site virtual retailing experience where you can purchase the latest makeup essentials as well as M·A·C Director of Makeup Artistry, Terry Barber's iconic, fashion must-have products. Plus, all products purchased from the M∙A∙C Media Lounge will be delivered free of charge to anywhere in the UK. Barber says: "My personal edit of the M∙A∙C range is about a modern woman's sense of style and reflects her need for the most contemporary beauty wardrobe. NEW PRODUCTS ARE PUT TO TEST BACKSTAGE
Makeup artists rely on the newest and most advanced products available when working backstage - the latest finishes, formulations, shades and beauty innovations are all essential. Artists use this unique opportunity to test-drive M·A·C's very latest product prototypes, sometimes years before they reach consumers, and put them to the test on the runways of New York, London, Milan, and Paris. If the texture, colour, application or finish aren't up to scratch, artists let M·A·C's Product Development team know what needs tweaking. The end result: the perfect formula for eyes, lips, cheeks and brows that works equally in the hands of a professional makeup artist and the regular customer. For S/S 13, M·A·C plans to test several new products, including a new moisturising lipstick, a brow gel and pencil, new moisturisers and a palette of what's predicted to be the season's hottest lip and eye shades.
M·A·C NAILS IT
This season at New York Fashion Week, M.A.C created the nail designs at eight shows including Marimekko, Donna Karan and Proenza Schouler. Now in London, renowned fashion and celebrity manicurist Marian Newman will be backstage with M.A.C at Giles, Philip Treacy, Mary Katrantzou and Moschino Cheap & Chic. The new range of 31 M.A.C Nail Lacquers reflect and complement any trend and will also make their debut at Milan and Paris Fashion Week this season.
