An Aadhaar card is one of the most crucial documents that are required for almost all official work in India. The Aadhaar card is important to not only avail the services offered by central or state government agencies but also private financial companies.
If you are facing any issue with your Aadhaar card then you can solve it just by contacting a phone number. Aadhaar cardholders who face any issue can resolve them by dialing the 1947 number. This was recently revealed, via a tweet, by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). What's special is that this number can assist you in 12 different languages.
In its tweet, UIDAI said that all Aadhaar related issues will be handled via a single phone call from now. The 1947 Aadhaar Helpline is available in Hindi, English, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Bengali, Assamese, and Urdu.
The UIDAI issued Aadhaar number is also fairly easy to remember as it represents the year in which India gained independence.
Notably, the 1947 number is toll-free and is available 24/7 on IVRS mode throughout the year. This institution also has contact centre representatives available from 7 am to 11 pm. (Monday through Saturday). Representatives are also accessible on Sundays from 8 am to 5 pm.
How to make PVC Aadhaar - Step-by-step guide
Step 1: Visit the UIDAI website to obtain a new Aadhaar PVC card.
Step 2: Select 'Order Aadhaar PVC Card' in the 'My Aadhaar' section.
Step 3: Insert your Aadhaar number (12 digits), Virtual ID (16 digits), or Aadhaar Enrollment ID (28 digits) (EID).
Step 4: Type in the captcha code and click to receive an OTP.
Step 5: Enter OTP sent to the official mobile number.
Step 6: You will now be able to see a glimpse of the Aadhaar PVC Card.
Step 7: Select the payment option.
Step 8: On the payment page, deposit Rs 50.
Step 9: Process will be completed once payment is received.
