Aadhaar card has become a mandatory proof of identity, thus it's essential to carry it with you all the time. UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) now allows Indians to obtain their Aadhaar card through the official website even if they do not have a registered mobile number. The step had provided much-needed relief.
The UIDAI website now allows users to get Aadhaar PVC cards without the need for a registered phone number.
Here are some simple steps you would need to follow:
You can use the 16-digit VID (Virtual Identification Number) rather than your 12-digit Aadhaar number if you don't wish to provide your 12-digit Aadhaar number. Furthermore, some steps will be visible only to users with registered mobile numbers and will not be available to users without registered mobile numbers. Only registered mobile phones can watch Aadhaar previews. Non-registered mobile based users do not get access to a preview of Aadhaar card information.
