SBI customers alert! Internet banking, UPI, YONO services to remain unavailable on June 20 - check timings

SBI has said that its internet banking services will remain unavailable so that it can work on its scheduled maintenance activities.

Attention SBI customers! India's largest state-owned bank State Bank of India has said that online services such as internet banking, UPI payment, utility apps YONO and YONO Lite will remain unavailable for about 40 minutes on Sunday (June 20).

SBI has tweeted this information so that the SBI users don't face any hardship. Internet Banking, UPI Payment, YONO, YONO Lite will not remain available for 40 minutes between 01:00 hrs and 01:40 hrs on June 20, 2021.

SBI has said that its internet banking services will remain unavailable so that it can work on its scheduled maintenance activities. The bank took to Twitter to update users about the unavailability of the services.

"We request our esteemed customers to bear with us as we strive to provide a better banking experience," SBI tweeted. In a message along with its tweet, the bank said that it'll be undertaking maintenance activities between 01:00 hrs and 01:40 hrs on 20.06.2021.

"During this period, Internet Banking / YONO / YONO Lite / UPI will be unavailable. We regret the inconvenience caused and request you to bear with us," it said.

Earlier also, SBI's internet banking, YONO, YONO Lite and UPI services were temporarily unavailable on June 17 for a few hours.

In another news, Google Pay on Wednesday said it has expanded its network of bank partners offering cards tokenisation on the Google Pay app and added lenders including SBI, IndusInd Bank, Federal Bank, and HSBC India.

"After successfully rolling out tokenisation with Kotak Mahindra Bank, SBI Cards, and Axis Bank, Google Pay has now added debit cards by SBI, IndusInd Bank, and Federal Bank and credit cards by IndusInd Bank and HSBC India to its slate," a statement said.

Tokenisation is a feature that enables users to make debit or credit card payments through a secure digital token attached to their phone without having to physically share their credit or debit card details.
