Prime Minister Narendra Modi had released the 18th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana on 5 October 2024.
Good news has come for farmers eagerly awaiting the 19th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna. The date of the next installment has been finalised. Till now, the money from 18 installments has been transferred to farmers' bank accounts.
Under the scheme, income support of Rs 6,000 per year in three equal installments (Rs 2,000) is provided to all eligible land-holding farmer families. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had released the 18th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana on 5 October 2024.
Now, as per reports, PM Modi will be on a visit to Bihar on 24 February 2025 and on the same day, the 19th installment (PM Kisan Samman Nidhi 19th Installment) will be transferred to the accounts of farmers. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recently gave this information.
PM Kisan is a central sector scheme with 100 per cent funding from the Government of India. It has become operational from 1 December 2018. eKYC is mandatory for PM KISAN registered farmers. OTP-based eKYC is available on the PM KISAN Portal.
The PM-KISAN scheme aims to supplement the financial needs of the Small and Marginal Farmers (SMFs), in procuring various inputs to ensure proper crop health and appropriate yields, commensurate with the anticipated farm income at the end of each crop cycle.
