Oil Marketing companies have raised the price of domestic liquified petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders by Rs 25. A domestic cylinder weighing 14.2 kg will now cost Rs 834.50 in Delhi. Different states have different rates. 

But you can book a gas cylinder at a lesser price also. This is not only for a single cylinder, but you can book gas for three consecutive months at a lesser price.
 
Paytm has come up with a cashback offer on booking LPG cylinders for its first-time users. If anyone books and pays for an LPG cylinder through Paytm app, then the consumer would be eligible for this offer. Users can now pay through Paytm for bookings made through IVRS, missed calls or WhatsApp. The offer is applicable on purchase of cylinders from all 3 major LPG marketing companies — Indane, HP and Bharat Gas. 

The customer will also have an option to book now pay later option for cylinder booking by enrolling in Paytm Post-paid service. According to Paytm, a consumer can get a maximum of up to Rs 900 assured cashback for three cylinders, which means up to Rs 300 off per cylinder. 

Here's how you can avail of the PayTm cashback offer while booking an LPG cylinder:

Step 1: A user has to go to the ‘Book Gas Cylinder’ tab in Paytm app 
Step 2: Select the gas provider, Indane or HP or Bharat Gas and 
Step 3: Enter the registered mobile number or LPG ID or consumer number
Step 4: Make the payment through Paytm
Step 5: The cylinder will be delivered to the registered address by the nearest gas agency
Step 6: The cashback will be processed instantly and credited to the Paytm account within a few minutes.

Also, you can track the delivery of the gas cylinder and receive automated reminders for refills after a specific time period.

In Mumbai, a domestic cooking cylinder will cost Rs 834.50. In Kolkata, people will have to shell out Rs 835.50 and Rs 850.50 in Chennai.

The price of a commercial cylinder has also been hiked by Rs 84. Notably, LPG prices had gone up by Rs 140 per 14.2-kg cylinder in the last six months.
