Now you can link PAN to your LIC policies with a direct link - Check step-by-step process, status

Keep your PAN and policy numbers with you and make sure that your registered mobile number is active when you begin the linking process

You will now be able to link your Permanent Account Number (PAN) with your Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) policies. The LIC took to Twitter to share this news with its customers. 

The tweet said, "Link your PAN to your LIC policies Now," encouraging people to register their PAN on the website. 

PAN is important while making any monetary transactions or buying a policy or another financial instrument. Anything that requires a financial transaction cannot go through without presenting the PAN card. It is as important as your Aadhaar card. 

Here's how you can link your PAN to your LIC : 

Before you begin the process, keep your PAN and policy numbers with you and make sure that your registered mobile number is active and with you at that moment because LIC will send you an OTP to begin the process. 

- Firstly, you need to visit -  https://linkpan.licindia.in/UIDSeedingWebApp/

- Once you reach the website, you will have to enter details like date of birth, gender, PAN, full name as per PAN, mobile number as per Aadhaar, and policy number.

- You will then be asked to mention the captcha and click on 'Get OTP'

- You will receive the OTP on your registered mobile number, once you have entered all the information and submitted the form, a message will appear with a message that the registration request is successful.


Here's how you can check your PAN - LIC status: 

- Visit  https://linkpan.licindia.in/UIDSeedingWebApp/getPolicyPANStatus?_ga=2.169731234.202851720.1631518943-1126136826.1622542500

- Type in your Policy Number, Date of Birth, PAN details and enter the captcha. Click on Submit. 

On the IPO front, LIC had invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As per the notification, the post was contractual and would get a salary of Rs 75 lakh per annum.
