Technology is becoming more integrated into everyone's lives as time passes. One does not need to carry their real Aadhaar card if accessing the mAadhaar app. The mAadhaar is a multi-purpose app and isn't just a wallet-sized Aadhaar card.

Cardholders can use mAadhaar profile as a proof of identity while using airlines and railways services, while users can utilise the app's features to share their eKYC or QR code with providers who require Aadhaar validation of their clients before offering Aadhaar services.

The UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) recently made an announcement to public about mAadhaar's three key components through its official Twitter account.

The mAadhaar has three primary sections and the first one is 'Aadhaar Services Dashboard' which is a simple window that provides access to all digital facilities available to Aadhaar holders.

Then second is ' My Aadhaar Section' which is a personalised area for the Aadhaar accounts you upload, and last is the 'Enrolment Center Section' which is a map that allows you to find the registration location.

The mAadhaar app can be utilised everywhere in India at any time. The user can also get a variety of conveniences by using the mAadhaar app which includes:

  1. Change your Aadhaar address with a document or without a document.
  2. For those who have protected their Aadhaar or do not want to disclose their Aadhaar, create or get a VID that they can use instead of their Aadhaar to access Aadhaar services.
  3. Provide service providers with a digital KYC or a QR code.
  4. View/display Aadhaar offline, especially when residents are needed to offer proof of identity.
  5. Offline Aadhaar SMS services are available.
  6. Keep/manage the Aadhaar cards of up to five family members through one profile mobile.
  7. Aadhaar can be downloaded or regained if it has been stolen or misplaced.
  8. Aadhaar can be protected by locking it or using biometrics.
