In the state of Uttar Pradesh (UP), banks will observe a four-day closure starting January 25 in observance of Hazrat Ali's birthday. 

Here is the schedule of bank holidays for this week:

January 25 (Thursday): Thai Poosam/Birthday of Md. Hazarat Ali - Banks will be closed in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.

January 26 (Friday): Republic Day - Banks will be closed nationwide.

January 27 (Fourth Saturday): Banks will remain closed.

January 28 (Sunday): Banks will be closed.

Republic Day, falling on a Friday this year, leads to an extended weekend for banks, with the consecutive closure of the fourth Saturday and Sundays.
