For the Aadhaar cardholders, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) made an important announcement. The UIDAI said that the people with Aadhaar cards can now add as many as five user profiles on the mAadhaar app.

For the users who want to add these profiles, they have to first update the mAadhaar app on their phones so as to set up these profiles. They can simply enter the details of their Aadhaar card and receive an OTP for confirmation.

In a tweet, the UIDAI said, "You can add up to 5 user profiles in your #mAadhar app. OTP authentication is sent to the registered mobile number of the Aadhar holder. Download and install the #NewmAadharApp from https://tinyurl.com/yx32kkeq (android), https://tinyurl.com/taj87tg (iOS)."

Here are the steps to be followed to create a profile on the mAadhaar app:

- First, launch the mAadhaar app on the smartphone and select the 'Register Aadhaar' tab on the dashboard

- The users can then create a four-digit pin or password, provide a valid Aadhaar number, and enter the captcha code

- The users are required to verify it with the OTP they received before submitting it

- After submission, the profile is registered and it will be displayed on the registered tab under the registered Aadhaar name

- The users can tap on the 'My Aadhaar' tab on the bottom menu, enter their four-digit pin or password to access 'My Aadhaar' dashboard

The users of the mAadhaar app can view their profile by selecting the profile summary option on the top (where there is a profile image, name, and Aadhaar number) in the main dashboard.

For those users who face any issue or difficulty, they can uninstall the Aadhaar app and reinstall it again from PlayStore or Apple Store, depending on their smartphone.
