7th Pay Commission: Will THESE employees get festival bonus and outstanding DA? Find out

With the festive season just around the corner, we have a piece of good news for the employees working in the Railways. The employees are already relishing an increase in the Dearness Allowance (DA) and now they are in for a bumper surprise as before the revered festival of Durga Puja, bonuses will be received by railways employees. 

Reports state that just like last year, Rs 17,951 will be credited to the bank account of employees as a bonus of 78 days.

Apart from the massive bonus, the DA of July will also be added to their salary. Notably, the railway employees also recently received a DA hike of 11% as the Central government removed the ban on the same after a long wait since January 2020. The DA has now been increased from 17% to 28%. The DA is all set to be increased by another 3% with the addition of July 2021. If this does happen, then DA will increase to 31%.

For the unversed, the Dhanbad Railway Division covers the regions of Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. In this division, over 22,222 employees are currently serving. 

All these employees are all set to get the benefit of the bonus before the festive season begins. Now, if every employee gets Rs 17,951 as a bonus of the last 78 days then about Rs 39 crore 90 lakh will be distributed only as a bonus amount. 

Along with the bonus, the DA will also be credited to the railway employees before the festive season based on the salary of the employee and the officer, so this festive season has already begun with a happy news!
