1. PM Kisan aims to cover 125 million farmers
The Central government's Rs 75,000-crore scheme aims to cover 125 million farmers, irrespective of the size of their landholding in the country. This annual financial support is given to farmers having combined landholding/ownership of up to 2 hectares. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the PM Kisan Yojana on December 1, 2018.
2. Register before March 31, 2021
However, those who have not yet registered themselves under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme (yojana), they must do the same before the end of this month, i.e, March 31 to receive Rs 4,000 from the government.
3. Farmers to receive Rs 4,000
If their application is accepted, they will get the first installment of Rs 2000 likely after Holi (that falls on March 28-29) and second installment of Rs 2,000 in the month of April or May, according to reports.
