Impact of a Zee24Taas news report is what ensured that a stall owner got his magazines back within hours after the entire stock was seized by organisers of the 89th All-India Marathi literary meet.
Chaprak Prakashan from Pune, which comes out with a weekly titled 'Chaprak Weekly' and a magazine titled 'Sahitya Chaprak', had booked two stalls at the literary meet's book exhibition, which was inaugurated on Friday.
Even as it all went smoothly for two days — Friday and Saturday — on Sunday morning all of a sudden, three-four people raided the stall of Chaprak Prakashan and seized all 250 copies of the magazine.
The magazine's cover story was aimed at exposing literary meet president Sripal Sabnis. The article by Sahitya Chaprak editor Ghanshyam Patil is already in circulation via Facebook, WhatsApp and the dakhalpatra.blogspot.com, reaching lakhs of people.

When Zee24Taas aired the news, Ramesh Rathivadekar and Anil Kulkarni, in-charge of the book stall management, rushed to the spot and told the organisers that the action was unfair. Rathivadekar told dna that he asked the organisers to return all copies of the magazine after which the stall was restored.
