“This workshop will deliberate on the various challenges facing the land settlement commissioner’s office in Maharashtra. Besides, a consensus would be arrived on at the ways to implement the future course of action,” he said.

The workshop would coincide with the silver jubilee celebration of the State Land Records Training Centre in Aurangabad. In particular, the workshop would discuss the suggestions made by the National Land Records Modernisation Programme (NLRMP), a programme of land record modernisation initiated by the central government.

Dalvi stated that the workshop would discuss his earlier proposal in front of the state government to initiate the land survey of the state.

The workshop would be attended by various ministers of the state government and senior officials from both the state and central government.
