Last month, Omnicom Media Group’s media network OMD completed six years in India. Part of the credit for this goes to Jasmin Sohrabji, CEO of Omnicom Media Group. While launching OMD in India was a great opportunity, Sohrabji says it was also a daunting task. “A new set-up comes with many challenges, but the positive thing is that you get to define the culture and write the agency’s blueprint,” she says.Being the CEO of one of the top five media agencies in the country, she feels a sense of achievement, but says it is more of a collaborative than an individual effort. “To an outsider, it looks like just another agency. To make OMD stand out was one of the biggest challenges,” she says. Sohrabji started her career as a media planner with Contract. Later, she spent almost 16 years at Grey-MediaCom. Sohrabji attributes her success to those who helped her develop her skills individually and professionally. “I believe in incorporating good qualities from all those who I come across.”  A little secret about what she does when not working, she shops for shoes!
