Woman Maoist killed in encounter
While police were patrolling in the forest area of Abapur, some Maoists who were hiding there opened fire at the police team at around 9.30am.
A woman Maoist was killed in an encounter with police this morning in the forest area of Abapur village near Ghot in Chamorshi taluka in Gadchiroli, police said.

In retaliation, police also fired at the ultras in which a woman naxal was killed.
The body was yet to be identified, police said.
A 12 bore rifle and other naxal material were also recovered from the spot, police said adding that a search operation continued in the area.
