Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray Sunday raised pitch against any move aimed at privatising the State Transport Corporation."Privatisation of any profit making public entity is the modus operendi of current politics. I will not allow Maharashtra government to privatise the State Road Transport Corporation (ST) at any cost. If necessary, we will show our strength and Maharashtra Navanirman Sena (MNS) will fight back on this issue," he said. The MNS chief was addressing the first annual convention of MNS Parivahan Kamgar Sena in Pune.Raj also alleged that politicians have stakes in private bus companies.Instead of purchasing lands and studying land records, people in government should study peoples' problems thoroughly and solve them, he said.Raj further said that the state government was apathetic and insensitive towards the problems of the ST workers, including drivers and conductors.
