The Mumbai police has sent a notice to the organiser of the Shiv Sena's Dusshera rally for alleged violation of sound pollution norms. The notice has been sent to Diwakar Borkar for the rally which was held in Shivaji Park on October 13, 2013.

The Shiv Sen has been asked to respond to the notice in 24 hours.

Since Shivaji Park is a silence zone, the sound limit to be maintained is 50 decibels. The sound levels during the Shiv Sena's Dusshera rally reportedly touched 90 to 93 decibels.The Shiv Sena had violated this sound limit even during its Dusshera rally in 2012.
