"Our demands are that the state government and municipal corporations have a senior citizens centric policy. We expect this from the Maharashtra government, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation and the Railways," said Nandlal Chaturvedi, Member of Senior Citizen's Forum. The protest saw senior citizens holding placards in their hands that with several demands. These included the re-working of the age limit that decides senior citizen category by state government, discount in train and rail fares for local travel, and increase in pension among others.

"A similar protest was held at CSMT. This is the first protest. If they do not take our demands, we will protest again," added Chaturvedi.
