We'll expose 3 top BJP ministers during monsoon session: Leader of Opposition

The Congress has expressed its determination to expose at least three top BJP ministers during the monsoon session of the state assembly, which is slated to begin from July 13 and go on till July 30.

Leader of the opposition in state assembly Radhakrishna Vikhe-Patil told dna that while the efficiency of BJP ministers is being highlighted by the media every other day and chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has no option but to shield the ministers, the Congress would expose three ministers during the monsoon session.

Vikhe-Patil alleged that the BJP despite claiming to be a party with a difference has shown that it is backing its own ministers who are in the eye of the storm for allegedly giving false affidavits, engaging in corruption and misleading people.

When asked why the revelations would be made during the monsoon session, Vikhe-Patil said that when the issues are raised by the media or taken to the Anti-Corruption Bureau, those accused go for time-consuming tactics.

"Hence, the monsoon session is the opportunity for us to expose these people in the highest democratic office of the legislative assembly ad council," he added.

He said that the Congress would come out with sting operations of three BJP ministers which the government would find it hard to give an answer to during the session.
