A heritage walk along South Mumbai is charming in more ways than one. Start by taking a train to CST railway station which is now a World Heritage site. Proceed to DN Nagar for the street bazaars. Flora Fountain on the way to Colaba is another Mumbai landmark.

Around Colaba and the Kala Ghoda area there are numerous buildings such as Jehangir Art Gallery, NGMA and the the museum that are worth a dekko. The tour culminates at the Gateway of India overlooking the Arabian Sea.

Alternately you can get off at the Churchgate railway station on the Western line and commence your heritage walk from there.
