A recently-posted video clip, that has since gone viral (2.3 million views and counting,) shows a level of exuberance and joie de vivre that can only be found, well in Mumbai’s local trains. It depicts a compartment full of men belting out the song do ghunt mujhe bhi pila de sharaabi, complete with accompanying percussions, back-up vocals et al.

While virtually every one of them is seen joining in the singing, the two who really keep the pace moving are the gentlemen facing the  walls of the train bogie, to keep a serious groove going.

It’s a clip that all but exemplifies the phrase Yeh hai Bombay meri jaan!
