Acting dean of JJ hospital Dr Ashok Rathod said, “Their injuries are serious and each person has hundreds of wounds on their bodies due to the intensity of the blast. Two orthosurgeries have already been performed on Om and Kusum and there will be more surgeries in the coming few days. It is difficult to say how long it will take them to heal.”

Nimbalkars' neighbour Manoj Kotawde said he doesn't know what led them to inspect an unclaimed object. “They are under observation and not allowed to talk to anyone. The explosion was severe and heard miles away from the blast site.”
