One person was killed, three cattle heads perished and several cash crops were damaged as unseasonal rains lashed the north Maharashtra district of Nashik, sources said today quoting reports.Rains, accompanied with hailstorm, hit Yeola, Satana, Chandvad and Nandgaon tehsils last evening. A 10-year-old boy, Somanath Mali, was killed in Waghdardi village in Nandgaon taluka when lightning struck him, police said.Seven persons of a family were injured when the wall of their house collapsed due to stormy winds. Two bullocks and a cow were killed in lightning at Katarwadi village, they said. Cash crops like wheat, grapes and onions suffered extensive damage in the district, reports said. The district administration is taking stock of the damage caused to crops.
