In the past, Yuva Sena youth wing has raised the issue of the department not being maintained by the MU. The hightech machines are also not being used and are in poor condition, the wing has alleged.

The department currently provides MSc, MPhil and PhD courses, however, lack of maintenance of the department has affected the research work, claim some senate members of MU.

Sainath Durge, core team member of Yuva Sena, said, “Yuva Sena youth wing had written a letter to VC when he was newly appointed. We personally visited there and saw the bad condition of the department.

There is not even a sweeper to sweep the floors. Hardly few courses are run, but the maintenance of the big machines which cost a lot are not being maintained. Hence the issue was again raised in recent Senate meeting by one of the senate member.” When DNA tried to contact one of the faculty of the NCNNUM, he refused to speak.
