In the face of the criticism that while Shiv Sena-led agitation against the Jaitapur nuclear plant had turned violent, he himself was at the Kanha tiger sanctuary for a quiet vacation, party executive president Uddhav Thackeray today questioned media's credentials."Where was media when people of Jaitapur were being externed and lathi-charged by police? Who was it serving?" Thackeray asked in a statement."When I held a huge rally at Jaitapur on April 9, the same media gave more importance to the Jantar-Mantar hunger strike (by social activist Anna Hazare)," Thackeray said.Local media had reported that even as the anti-Jaitapur stir turned violent -- with one person getting killed in police firing -- Thackeray had left for Kanha tiger sanctuary.
